-Nadine shared her first acrylic painting, a beautiful snowy landscape.
-Pamm updated SAG members’ schedule for displaying art work.

ARTIST ENDEAVORS

Jamie explained a community mural plan and possibilities for SAG to be involved in Arts in the Park. Chandra showed an example of a possible fund raising campaign and suggested the possibility of working with the Barren County Art Guild. Katie agreed to head up the children’s art classes. Sharon will be responsible for a news letter to be placed on our website. Pamm will be our website’s blogger. Chandra asked members to meet Jan. 16, from 9:00 to 11:00 at Jamie’s office to develop SAG’s 2012 strategic plan.
-Chandra will continue to work on getting our website updated

OLD BUSINESS
-Pamm declared the 2011 Christmas dinner a success. However, she pointed out that we need to make clear the rules of “Dirty Santa.” Members also pointed out the need to clarify the amount to be spent on the Christmas ornament. Members agreed Dumplings did a great job with the food…especially desserts.

NEW BUSINESS
-Chandra announced SAG members will be paid for teaching future art classes. The guild will also contract with professional artists to teach classes.
-Chandra informed members that grants can be obtained that would allow the art guild to fund art projects with various community groups.
-Katie collected 2012 dues.
-Members were encouraged to think about ways our community can be made aware of SAG efforts.
-Chandra stated that Matt Pedigo is willing to write an article which would promote the 2012 community art campaign.
