Nadine Wilkerson won BEST OF SHOW with her pastel piece, Pathways. Her Blush Rose also placed 1st in drawing.
This year, our major annual exhibit featured two hundred beautiful works of art by talented, regional artists of all ages. Our new exhibit walls greatly improved our display, providing plenty of room for visitors to wander through the exhibit and enjoy the artwork. Thanks to our sponsors, $1,670 were awarded in prizes, so we encourage artists to get busy producing artwork for next year's show!!!

ArtWorks Members Only Exhibit
Congratulations to Steve Clay for 1st place, with his "1962 Corvette" and Nadine Wilkerson for winning a "Merrit Award" with her pastel piece entitled "Pathways".
Scottsville Art Guild's artists love a good competition! There were so many outstanding pieces of artwork, displayed at the meeting, that members had a rough time choosing the best. Ultimately, Pamm Douglas' "Piper Plaid", and Aleta Foster's "Westie-tude in the Faulkland Palace Garden" both won monetary prizes for their work. Congratulations, ladies!
Last November, the Park's Manager, Lisa Davis, suggested that a sculpture be created to sit in the lobby just outside the door to the gallery. The Guild commissioned local artist, Chris Radus, to create a piece in the current style of the interior of the lodge - rustic, driftwood, fish etc. We invite you to see it at Barren River Lake State Park's lodge, where you can also view our latest art exhibit!
Our artists are often featured in SOKY Happenings Magazine! Kathy, Nadine, Sharon, Lorie, Josh, and Betty have made the cover. Profiled artists include Nadine, Pamm, Janet, Betty and Jean - plus Marsha's photography continues to receive recognition.
Pick up a copy each month to see who will be next, and learn all about the interesting people and activities in Southern Kentucky! Thanks SOKY!!!
